Co-Designing Mino’Weesini

IN COLLABORATION WITH PARKDALE FOOD CENTRE

food connects us to each other, to our own pasts, identities and memories, and to the larger world around us.

Overview

Parkdale Food Centre and Urban Imaginaries Lab are working together to create new spaces for connecting and finding community and belonging through food.

The project started with pop-up activities at some local events, such as Taste of Wellington and Right to Food Day, and in local businesses such as Maker House, Morning Owl, Parkdale Public Market etc. (go find our kits!) and will continue through collaborative creative sessions focused on rethinking the space of the Mino’Weesini Grocery Program into a space of encounter where we come together to connect and promote food justice.

We are inviting you to participate and build these new possibilities with us. If you are interested in participating in the collaborative creative sessions and knowing more about this project register here.
